Trip to Glennallen

We made a trip to Glennallen this weekend to visit friends. Kaden and his bff, Caleb, had a blast. Caleb was supposed to teach Kaden how to say "dada" and Kaden was supposed to teach him how to walk. No "dada" yet at our house. Wonder if Caleb is walking now?? :0)

Cleaning up around the house this morning. Kaden was in my yarn. I couldn't resist posting this picture. His expression is priceless!!

Off to bed but wanted to post a few pictures. I worked last night and Jon was home with Kaden. Kaden had a blast with his monkey backpack, walking all over the place. He is full of himself, that is for sure!

Bowling

Had a good weekend, busy! We took the youth to a conference here in town (forgot my camera, oops). Sat night, went to baby shower for a dear friend. She is due with her first in December. Sunday we took our neices to church and then went to the movies in the evening. Today, Jon got 1/2 day off work so we took Kaden bowling. Mostly we just bowled, but Kaden got a chance too. We didn't do too bad and had a great time!

Kaden loves to get into everything around the house, including his books! His favorite right now is his animal book, with fuzzy fur to pet. No luck getting him to quack but anytime he sees an animal (especially a deer or lion), he says "Roaaaarrrr!!!!"

Fall is back!!

It snowed three times last week. Now, this week it has been mild and beautiful! Today was 60 degrees! Kaden and I did some shopping and stopped by the pet store. He had a blast watching the rats and the birds. Hamsters were fun to watch too. Didn't see any dogs or cats that we could pet but he had a blast watching them!

We are determined to enjoy the nice weather while it is here. Took some pictures of Kaden playing outside before naptime.

Already October!!!

Hard to believe it is already October! I need to put up some pictures of Kaden. He is walking EVERYWHERE these days!! He will be 11 months old this week. Almost a year old! Wow, how time flies!

Fun times

Busy day today! Kaden seems to be feeling a bit better, after a week now of teething torture (for all of us, but he is the poor little guy who's hurting!) We had dinner with Jon's folks tonight. Kaden had fun entertaining Grandma and Grandpa. And we had some good chocolate cake for dessert. Thanks Peppridge Farm!

Kaden is a daddy's boy. They both love to be outside. Jon and him mowed the grass the other night, maybe one of the last times since winter is on it's way. I guess you can tell that I'm a proud mama! Love my boys!

BFFs

Got a new pic of my BFF, Kelly from college today. She and her family have been vacationing in SC, enjoying the sun and the beach. Hard to imagine since it is 39 degrees here this morning. Here is the Ornberg family...Dave, Kelly & Cohen. He is 6 months old already!!!

Kaden can walk!!

Kaden took his first steps this weekend!!! And now he is walking more and more, every day!!! Today he walked to the leggo tower that his daddy built. Such a big boy! And a proud mama and daddy!!!

Camping

We went out to Salcha this weekend, while Jon was hunting and spent the night in his folks cabin. No running water, electric or bathroom...but a nice pullout couch and better than a tent! It was a frosty night of sleep, with no heat but each other. We had a blast! (no moose though). Will hopefully stay there again in the future!

Gold panning at El Dorado

On Saturday, we spent the day as a family going gold mining. We made $25 in gold flecks. Not much but something to get started. Kaden thought it was great fun, especially the train ride to the gold claim. And he wanted to put everything on the ground in his mouth!

Today while Dad was at work, me and Kaden spent a lazy day at home. We are headed to youth group tonight. Working tomorrow and then a weekend of moose hunting for all of us! (well mostly just Jon :0) Kaden is trying hard to walk. Might be soon!

Autumn is here in Fairbanks!

Well, fall has arrived in Fairbanks. The leaves started changing about two weeks ago and they are beautiful right now!!! We took Kaden for a drive today to see the colors. It was in the 70s and quite the treat. A beautiful day! Took some pics in case the colors disapper soon (fall is usually about 3 weeks long here) Enjoy!

Baby Ty is here!!

Good news! Tim & Kajsa finally had their little baby this weekend. Ty Anderson Averill was born on Friday, Sept 4th. Mom and baby are happy and healthy. He weighed just over 8 lbs and was greeted by big brother, Brady. More info and pics to come!
