Well opening presents with a one year old was quite a treat. Whoever said "there's no crying on christmas" hasnt been to our house. :0) But we still had fun!!!

Christmas with the Grants

Merry Christmas! We had a wonderful morning together, just us three. Kaden slept in until 930am! So we got our Christmas present...sleeping in! We opened presents with Grandma and Grandpa Grant and had a yummy breakfast that Jon whipped up for us. Kaden and Daddy are playing with his new toys now and a nap should be soon for ALL of us!

Winter Solstace!

The longest day of the year, Winter Solstace, is over!! Yea!! For us Alaskans, that means that daylight will start building again for the long days of summer. There were fireworks last night downtown. So pretty!!! (got this pic from the newspaper...our view wasn't quite that good).

Kaden had a rough night on Sunday night, puking on the hour all night. I was working on Jon played nurse at home while I was at work. A long night for everyone but he seems to be on the mend today. Not his usual active self but getting there. Thanks for everyone's prayers!!!

Get Rhythm

We went to Jon's grandparents (not by blood) house on Saturday night to hang out. Us ladies visited while Jon and Jerry played their guitars. Kaden even brought his to join in! He isn't as good as his daddy yet.

1 year old check up today!

Kaden had his 1 year well child check today at the pediatrician. I know, we are about a month late but that is how life goes.

Height 30 inches, Weight 23 lbs 13 ounces. In the 40th percentile for both height & weight.

He was 23 lbs in August, when he was 8 months old!!!! So I guess he has really "walked off the pounds." She asked if he was walking yet and I said, "Yep, since he was 10 months old." She said "That is why he hasn't gained any weight!" So he has grown into his little baby chub for sure. And 30 inches is definitely taller too!

Our little guy is growing up so fast! And he definitely walks. He is climbing now! Check out his moves to get into his bday Tonka Truck!

1st Birthday Party x 2!

What's better than a one year old birthday party? Turning one twice?? After a great party in Fairbanks, we also celebrated at a party in Virginia. Lots of family and friends were able to be there! And of course, there was cake!!!!
