Having a picnic

The kids were all pretending to "have a picnic" today. So fun! Oh and Ellie had crazzzyyy hair today too! :)

Fun outside

The weather went from -27 on Wednesday of this week to +41 this afternoon! Crazy!! Jon and the boys had a blast riding on the 4wheeler! So much fun!

Easter eggs

Kaden is so proud of his eggs that he made at school! He keeps telling me that they are "really, really delicate."

Sunday fun

The kids visited with Jon & Sarah today, so we had fun with baby Paul too. Such a cutie!!

More snow...

...means more plowing. Good thing that Jon loves to plow! He was out on the 4wheeler tonite & will be in at work at 0330 to finish plowing there. Thankful for the OT pay & for the fresh, white blanket of snow. I want spring but I can't say no to lovely, fresh snow!!!!

All in a day's work

Jon and I both had pics taken of us this week at work. Had to share! Jon was all garbed up to go into the OR to help fix a broken sewer pipe, yuk!!! My picture was to put on our certification board since I have my CCRN now.

God is good!

When Kaden was born, he had a small cleft palate, which was such scary news to hear on the day after your first child is born. We were so unsettled by the news & unsure what the future held for him. His palate repair at 14 months was hugely successful. His check up today showed that his palate is strong & intact, his hearing is great, his speech is right on track & he just needs a cleaning at the dentist! So thankful for the smart, loving, mischievous boy that Kaden is growing up to be!!!

He is learning how to write his name too! We are so proud of our Kaden!!

New couches!

Been saving up for new furniture. First on the list, new couches! They have been purchased & we love them!!!

Treats!!

Brought home cold stone icecream for the boys tonite! They were so excited about their BLUE icecream!!

Grandpa's girl

Jon's folks watched the kids for a few hours this week & Grandma snapped this pic. Ellie is definitely a Grandpa's girl. Priceless!

A doggie adoption

Dogsitting turned into a doggie adoption! So glad that Bailey is the newest member of our family!!

Preacher man

Kaden told me today, "Let's play preacher." So I said, "Whatcha preaching about?" Kaden said, "Jesus!" His PopPaw would be so proud!!!

Daddy's girl

Went out to Salcha this weekend for the day. Had a blast checking out the cabin, walking thru very deep snow & visiting with good friends. Ellie got a turn to "drive" down Canaday Road with her daddy. She was so proud!!!

Adventures in Dogsitting

We are dogsitting for a friend this weekend. Bailey is a great doggie who my kids absolutely love. She is a 1 1/2 year old lab and is trained great. We are having so much fun having her at our house!!

Ellie is learning how to be an Alaskan girl! Temps are -10 to +20 above zero this weekend. Such a nice time to be outside! This part of winter is our favorite!!!

Anchorage fun

Headed to Anchorage last weekend to take my nursing certification test. So thankful that I passed. God is good, my studying paid off & I was fortunate to have many friends & family praying for me! So blessed! While in Anchorage (we flew down for a Thurs-Fri visit to avoid a 8hr one-way drive down), we did lots of eating out, I got some fun kids clothes at Target & Jon went to a gun shop to get some upgrades to his moose shooting gun. Very good time away!
